Sonata Contest Practice
Sunday, March 6th
2:00 / 3:30
Home of Deanne Harmon
6133 Enclave Drive
Pensacola FL 32504

For those participating in Sonata Contest, plan on being at the practice this Sunday. Your times are listed below. This is a great way to get rid of the performing nerves and have a successful performance before the actual contest.
This will be at Deanne Harmon's home studio, which is about .7 miles from me off Creighton Rd. Please meet me there and not at my house. Combining my students with hers will fill the house. If you are comfortable leaving your child with me while you shop or get a coffee, that will be greatly appreciated. If you would like to stay, we ask that only one parent come. Remember this is just a practice, not a public recital. Please arrive 15 minutes before your group starts.

Directions:
Take I-10 to Exit 17 for Scenic Highway. Turn south onto Scenic Hwy. Turn right onto Creighton Rd. Go 1 mile. Enclave Drive is on your right hand side. Deanne's house is the 7th on the left.

Sonata Contest
Saturday, March 19th
UWF Center for Performing Arts

I will hand out your child's performance time for Sonata Contest this week. For the competition, I will give you a card to paper-clip to your child's Sonata Song. Please bring both the music and the card. This card tells you the room number and performance time for your child. There will also be an information desk just when you walk in at UWF, should you misplace this card. Once your child is done performing, it is best to go directly to the awards table and wait for his category to be announced. Many missed hearing their names called last year because they were waiting in other locations. I will be announcing awards that day, so I may not be able to see your student and give them a "pep talk" before the performance. However, a teacher will personally take each child to their performance room and make sure he is comfortable. Parents are asked to wait in the lobby and not wait at the performance rooms. I will bring the judge's comments to the next lesson. Let me know if you have questions. If an emergency occurs and you will be late for Sonata Contest, please call me.
