Student of the Month
McKinley Traylor

McKinley is a 6th grader, who transferred into my studio this year and has become a reading machine! She enjoys writing, singing, and playing the flute in her school band. Her favorite foods are sour patch kids and steak. She really enjoys Halloween music. I have been impressed with McKinley's teachable spirit, and her thorough work ethic in music. Every week in November, she has come prepared and has even exceeding expectations for the week. She has mastered I-IV-V7 chords in C, F, and G Position. She is also reading key signatures well. Thank you for making music a priority in your life, McKinley.

Most Improved Student of the Month
Megan Turner

Every now and then a student will have a "break-through" month. Such was the case for Megan. Megan also transferred into my studio this year. She plays the trumpet in her school band and may even start learning the French Horn soon. She also enjoys making music with her parents, as her dad plays the cello and her mother sings. Megan's reading has improved greatly, as well as her practice habits. Her hand position is coming along, and she has improved on her counting. She has really enjoyed her Christmas songs, and has quite the repertoire to play for her family on Christmas morning. Thank you for your hard work, Megan. Keep it up!
