Please pencil the time and room number on your student's Sonata song. You do NOT have to check in at a welcome desk that day. Just show up to your room 10 minutes early. Your student MUST bring his original copy with him. Failure to do so results in disqualification. Once your child has played, go directly to the Mainstage Theatre and wait for awards to be announced. Many students miss out on their trophies because they fail to go to the awards presentation right away. If your child wins 1st place, they are asked to perform at a Winners Recital at Dollarhide's Music Center, Saturday, March 24. Upon receiving your trophy you will be told what time your performance is at. Thank you for encouraging your pianist to be involved in this event. Encourage them to make their Sonata song their top priority right now. Don't cram later. It must be memorized. Let me know if you have any questions. Shirts will be available for purchase the day of with your student's name printed on the back.
