New Students
I'd like to welcome a new piano students this month: Leanne Burkhardt.

Tuition 

In an effort to simplify my life a bit, I am asking that tuition by paid at the last lesson of each month for the upcoming month. This is a change from previous years. I will send home a reminder as we approach the end of the each month. January's tuition will be due Dec 17-21. Feel free to postdate a check, as deposits won't be made until the first of the month. Thank you for your help.

Christmas Party

December 17th, Monday, 6:00pm at Dollarhide's Music Center

The Christmas Party is always a highlight to each studio year. Make plans to be there that night. This is open to family and friends. We will have refreshments, desserts, sing carols, and listen to Christmas duets and solos. If you would like to help out with a favorite Christmas dessert, please sign up on my board. If you cannot make that night, please let me know right away. Otherwise, I will plan on hearing everyone play that evening.

Make-Up Lesson

December 15th, Saturday morning

Each semester I will offer 1 make-up lesson for an absence. If your child has missed a lesson from Sep-Dec, one make-up will be offered this day. If your student is not listed below, I'll contact you personally about a time.

Christmas Break 

Following with Escambia's school calendar, the last day of lessons in December will be Friday the 21st. Lessons will resume Monday, January 7th as school resumes.

Spring Events

Looking at my studio calendar, you will see Federation Festival in February, Sonata Contest in March, and Student Day in April. I will be letting you know which events I think are best for your child. Everyone needs to plan on doing Student Day, as an end of the year assessment.

November Honor Club 

Honoring those who finished all their work each week and received an A in each lesson for bringing all their books and completing 5 days of practice each week. Those who earn Honor Club for 6 months will receive a composer statue at the Awards Recital in May.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH

Gabriella Jaramillo

Gabriella is an 8th grader and enjoys listening to music, the color lime green, chicken for dinner, and orange juice. She is brand new to playing the piano, and has really taken off. She comes in with a smile on her face and all her music prepared each week. She's learned a lot of Christmas songs already and has even taught her self some. I'm really proud of how far you have come in a short amount of time. Keep it up!
