Sonata Contest
March 9
UWF Center for Fine & Performing Arts
Assigned Times

If your student is participating in Sonata Contest, please encourage them to be working on this song most of all. It needs to be memorized! Your student will play the same song as everyone in his group/level. A judge listens to the students one by one (no parents in the room). Everyone will receive a certificate for participating. Top honors are given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and Honorable Mention

I am scheduling a "Practice Sonata" as I have in years past, which is very beneficial for those who are participating for the first time. It will be March 2nd or 3rd, Sat or Sunday afternoon. I'll let you know soon.

January Student of the Month
Nataniel Agustin
Nataniel is a 3rd grader whose favorite subject in school is recess. If he were stranded on a deserted island and could choose one food, he would choose Egg Drop Soup. He's been playing like a star during January. He's been prepared early with his Festival music and Sonata music. He is entering the Concerto Contest in March for the first time. Keep up the good work!

January Most Improved Student of the Month
Rachel Hilliard
A shout out to Rachel who was gone one weekend in January and practiced over two hours one day to make up for her missed time. That is dedication. Oh, and she did the same thing a week later when she wasn't able to practice 5 days. WOW! Dedication is in the air.
