Piano MasterClasses

Recently, Hedi Salanki-Rupardt, a PMTA member, was named Distinguished University Professorship at UWF. With this distinction comes an opportunity for our community. She is holding a piano masterclass at UWF, on the last Friday of each month from 6-9pm, free of charge. As we progress throughout the year, I would like to take those working on classical literature to her for a lesson. This will be on a case by case basis.

Tuition 

In an effort to simplify my life a bit, I am asking that tuition by paid at the last lesson of each month. This is a change from previous years. I will send home a reminder as we approach the end of the each month. Thank you for your help with this.

Honor Club 

Each month I will honor those who have been faithful with playing their music. Those who earn an A at each lesson for an entire month will have their name posted on this website. Those who earn Honor Club at least 6 times will receive a composer statue at the end of the school year. To earn an A, all books should be brought to lessons, all theory work should be complete, all work on the weekly practice sheet should be complete, and at least 5 days of playing should be marked and signed. This is not a subjective incentive program. Each student can know if he has earned his A or not. If your student didn't achieve these goals this month, encourage them to do better next month.

Nov 21-23 - No lessons; Thanksgiving Break

Dec 17 - Christmas Party at Dollarhides (6:00pm)

Student of the Month

Daniel Perkins

Daniel is a 6th grader and has had a great month of playing. He is doing well with his classical songs and even said "I enjoy classical music more. It's really nice!" He has been ready to go at each lesson and has even gone above and beyond what was asked of him. I'm very proud of you, Daniel.
