Student Day
April 13, Saturday
Pensacola State College
Ashmore Fine Arts Bld.
Assigned Times - See below
Student Day is soon approaching. Most participants will have FOUR tests: Aural Theory, Written Theory, Performance, & Technique. The technique portion of the test will be done at the same time as their performance solos. Please encourage your student to prepare on all four, not just their solos. Dress is performance dress. Come ready to impress. You must bring your original music with your measures numbered; no photocopies. Top performers will be selected to perform at an Honors Recital, April 20 at Dollarhide's Music Center.
Directions: Turn into the main entrance of Pensacola Stage College from 9th Ave (just in front of Cokesbury Methodist) The first driveway on your left takes you to the the Ashmore Fine Arts Building. There is a check in table once you enter.

May Tuition
I will send home a copy of your Materials account showing spending for event registration and books. If there is a balance, it will be credited toward May's tuition. If there is a shortage in the account, May's tuition will be slightly higher. It's not a problem if there's a shortage. It just means I needed to purchase a book or register for an event before I asked you to deposit more. Not a problem. I just balance all accounts on May 1st.
Summer Lessons/Piano Camp
Info letters will be going home next week about summer lessons. I would strongly encourage you to consider keeping your child in lessons through the summer. So much progress is made over the summers. The atmosphere is much more relaxed without competitions/evaluations during this time. Many finish lesson books during this time, improve on reading, and choose some favorite songs they have always wanted to get to. Lessons will be offered June 3rd -July 27. Piano camp will be August 5-9. If your student has never done ensemble playing, he needs to go to Piano camp. He will have a blast making friends and playing duets, trios, and quartets. Everyone even writes their own composition and takes it home with them on paper!

March Student of the Month
Molly Krulak
Molly is a 8th grader in her first year of piano studies with me. Her favorite food is pasta and her favorite snack is pretzels. She enjoys soccer, reading, volleyball, and basketball. Interesting fact about her: she likes to write stories!
Molly has been playing well all month and did great at Sonata Contest, earning 1st place in her division. She is preparing a program for the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program in May. So proud of her!
